We, the undersigned, Israeli citizens, women and men, Jews and Arabs, with different political opinions, different professions and status, congratulate The Follow-Up Committee of Arab Education for establishing the Arab Pedagogical Council for Arab Education. We, the undersigned, demand that the Ministry of Education support and to cooperate with this initiative.
•    We call the Minister of Education to recognize the Arab Pedagogical Council!
•    We call the Minister of Education to authorize the Arab Pedagogical Council!
•    We call the Minister of Education to enable the Arab Pedagogical Council to work togather with the General Pedagogical Council in the Ministry of Education

Establishing Arab Pedagogical Council is a brave step towards a true autonomy of the Arab educational system in Israel within the Ministry of Education. It is a step that reflects responsibility and true will to integrate while preserving the authentic culture of the Arab Education within the ministry of Education.
Autonomy means a true and meaningful participation of Arab professionals and representatives in planning the educational policy and controlling the Arab education system.
Autonomy means hiring more Arab staff in the higher positions of the Ministry of Education, and establishing a controlling system which enables a meaningful usage of the Arab language in meetings and forums of the Ministry of Education.
Autonomy means preserving the cultural rights within the Ministry of Education as, for example, the Orthodox Jewish cultural rights are officially preserved.
Establishing an Arab pedagogical council and administration in the Ministry of Education will pave the way for full equality in terms of infrastructure, budget and human resources; the development of curricula and high quality and original learning materials for Arab schools; and full recognition in the historical narrative of Arabs in Israel.
